Traditional tā moko or tattooing involves dialogue between the artist and the person. In short, artists should have some knowledge of the person before making marks.

Each of my stones are unique – designed and carved for the individual, couple, family or place where it will be situated.

For some insights into the process here is a post.

Made for a Bill Hammond fan who lives at street number 18. The Māori symbol on the back is a ‘poutama’.

A piece telling the story of whanau (family), and whakapapa (genealogy).

A naming stone for a new couple and their new home.

A shelf stone for a person who loves hummingbirds and gardens.

A welcoming stone for a family’s home.
